Introducing Sam Gibson

We’re proud to introduce Sam Gibson who has been spending a 3 week internship in our admin department. He may already have made a coffee for you!

We spotted Sam at the recent Springboard Devil’s Kitchen event at the Holiday Inn. Sam and his teammates (who are all involved in the Springboard project) had to cook and serve a 3 course meal to a demanding crowd of business owners who are all supporters of the Humber LEP Skills Pledge.

At the end of the evening guests paid what they felt the meal and service deserved and the team that raised the most money (for charity) won.

The young people on the Springboard programme are not currently in employment, education or training but they all want to be and the event was an ideal opportunity for them to showcase their skills to local employers.

Andy Steele (Director at 360, Chartered Accountants) said ‘We were very impressed with the positivity, hard work and professionalism of Sam and his colleagues given the strange environment they were having to operate in. Hats off to them all for stepping out of their comfort zones in an attempt to get the break they deserve. We thought it was a fantastic concept and couldn’t believe the number of interviews and placements that were being arranged. Thankfully we got to Sam before anyone else could and 2 clients have already contacted us to say what a fantastic greeting they received from him.

He even learned how to say ‘Hello, what would you like to drink’ in Spanish when one of our Spanish clients visited recently!

Hopefully Sam’s time with us will give him the boost he needs to secure full time employment.’

Sam responded ‘ I have really enjoyed my time at 360, the team have made me feel really welcome and I have gained lots of valuable experience from this opportunity. It has certainly reinforced the fact that I wish to pursue a career in business administration or customer service.’
