We have been approached by numerous Freelance Social Workers, Independent Best Interest Assessors and Approved Mental Health Professionals over the last couple of years who, although currently employed by Local Authorities in various roles connected with health and/or social care, are now looking to set up their own businesses to run alongside their employment duties. Some work directly with the relevant Local Authority and others do so via an agency.
The reasons for them wanting to do this are specific to each individual case, but all are supported by the Local Authority. Clearly, the nature of this demanding work is highly specialised and we believe that we are now extremely well placed to offer a bespoke service to any individual looking to follow a similar path and set up a business catering for the health and social care sector. We understand the processes involved and fully appreciate the highly sensitive nature of their roles and the duties they perform within those roles.
We can help you
If you are involved in health and social care and are looking at setting up your own business, then we think we can help. Obviously, as well as the above considerations, we will look to ensure that considerations such as personal liability and exposure to tax are fully addressed. Please contact Andy Jewitt for a free, no obligation meeting to discuss the most suitable structure for your business.
