The last fortnight has obviously been a traumatic period for pretty much everybody in the UK and my thoughts go out to everyone whose health or livelihood has been affected by Corona Virus. I pray that things will return to normal in the very near future. Our business, like many , has had to adapt and all of our offices are now closed with the team working from home and using video conferencing / screen sharing / cloud / paperless technology to interact with clients and each other. We are fortunate in being able to operate at home, obviously many businesses cannot.
Like many businesses and organisations our team has had to deal with an unprecedented level of enquiries and cries for help during this period and I want to thank each and every one of them for going that extra mile and dealing with every single one of them professionally and promptly.
During this period we have undertaken the following initiatives to help our clients survive these challenging times:
Produced a daily update factsheet of what we do and don’t know about the support available
Written regular blogs and social media articles
Set up / supported two Whats App groups for those seeking regular updates, answers to queries and to exchange tips – the team have regularly been answering questions long into the night
Built a Corona Virus team of seven, each tasked with keeping up to date on a particular area of the support available
Kept our LiveChat facility open until at least 8pm and at weekends throughout the crisis
Committed to return phone calls the same day
Watched all of the government announcements and summarised the pertinent points so you don’t need to
The hard work of our team has won wide spread praise from clients and the local media which has in turn led to numerous enquiries from business owners that we don’t normally act for but I’m pleased to say we’ve also been able to help them too. We like to think we’ve got your backs during this crisis. If you think there is any more we could be doing then please do not hesitate to contact me.
I’m very proud of how our team has stepped up to the plate and remained so positive during these uniquely challenging times and I wish I could pat each and every one of them on the back and say thank you. I know many of our customers would too. They now need a break though. Some of them have been working 15 hour days and this is not sustainable. They need a break and an opportunity to recharge the batteries for what is likely to be a peak in demand next week as month end hits. I have therefore told them to switch their phones and e mails off this weekend and spend some quality time with their loved ones. We will not be monitoring Whats App or LiveChat. If you do have an emergency that cannot wait until Monday then please contact me directly on 0778 753 1993 and I will deal with it. Normal service will be resumed early on Monday morning.
Please stay safe and rest assured that we’ll be here throughout to help you in any way we can.
