Spring Cleaning Your Charity?

Now we are firmly into the New Year, if you’ve decided to spring clean and refresh your charity, it is important to ensure you keep your details up to date.

Registered charities need to make sure any changes to name, address and trustees are made with the Charities Commission.

Registered Charitable Companies need to make sure any changes to name, address and trustees are made with the Charities Commission and Companies House.

Other changes you must report are:

  • contact details
  • bank account details
  • managers, such as authorised officials, responsible person, nominees or agents
  • operations, for example what it does or who it helps
  • Gift Aid
