The recent news has highlighted high street banks are closing branches. Most significantly to Hull was Co-operative bank which will now have no branches remaining in Hull after May 2018. In addition NatWest and HSBC have taken steps to reduce the number of branches in the last few months.
Whilst this is the case for high street banks, it is making way for other banks to expand and attract new custom. The choice for charity and community accounts is more varied as other banks become more popular.
